Patrick François is the General Manager of the Project Finance Division of EdRPE. He has 30 years of experience in development, structuring and financing of renewable energy projects in the solar and geothermal fields. He holds a Certificate of Propedeutique in Math, Physics and Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of Paris-Orsay.
Mr. François is the co-founder and was Vice President of Luz International Ltd., the largest developer to date of large scale solar generation facilities. In addition, he was the Vice-President for Project Finance of Ormat technologies. In these capacities, he was responsible for the development and financing of more than 400 MW of solar and geothermal projects in amounts exceeding $1.5B. Mr. François is also an advisor to the Chairman of BrightSource Energy Ltd., a major thermo-solar technology developer in Israel and California holding development contracts for projects in excess of 2600 MW..
Mr. François is responsible for all Project Finance activities of EdRPE, including sourcing of opportunities, analysis, deal negotiation, arranging equity and debt financing of the project, and managing EdRPE's clients' interest in the projects.
